My work focuses on memory—its neural basis, its role in behavior, and its practical use in learning. I’m particularly interested in how ideas about memory have developed historically, and how those ideas continue to shape current research and practice.

In the classroom, I use evidence-based approaches to help students better understand and apply principles of memory and learning.
